Crockett Gillmore the 4th round pick out of Colorado State set a career high of 101 yards in the Baltimore Ravens win over the St. Louis Rams.
Many are calling this season a breakout for Crockett Gillmore, and he seems to be living up to those standards in great fashion. However, if you ask Gillmore about his records, he will tell you about his mistakes and what he has to work on moving forward.
“I think I had two drops, and that’s what I’m worried about,” said Gillmore, who had scored touchdowns in the previous two games. “But I think the most important thing as a team is that we have to do whatever it takes to get back in this thing. And today, we were able to do that.”
Gillmore’s longest career reception was a 46-yard rumble through space down the left sidelines helping set up the game-tying field goal that kicker Justin Tucker hit from 20-yards out.
To date in his breakout season, Gillmore has 29 catches for 385 yards and a team-high four touchdowns despite missing essentially a quarter of the season to a calf injury.
Gillmore is looking toward the horizon with confidence and determination as the Ravens are said to use their tight ends more in the second half of the season. “Matt and I have some chemistry,” Gillmore said. “We throw every day together. We’re the first two out there, and the last two out there. I’m very comfortable with Matt.”
