Entering his second season in the National Football League, Crockett Gillmore, TE, Ravens, has taken full advantage of having a full offseason to train. Gillmore reported to OTA’s (Organized Team Activities) weighing in at 275 pounds, which is fifteen more than what he weighed last season.
During the offseason, Gillmore trained at former Raven’s center, LeCharles Bentley’s O-Line Performance center.
“I’m a lot stronger in and out of breaks,” Gillmore said. “That was a big thing for me. I think I grew so fast that I never really developed the strength to get that quick twitch. Getting that muscle has really helped me run.”
The Baltimore Ravens have some uncertainty at the tight end position and Gillmore looks ready to jump into the starting position. But, what makes him fit so well with the culture of the Baltimore Ravens team is that he is not worried about getting that “starter” title.
“As long as we’re winning, I don’t care,” he said. “If I needed to punt, I’d punt. It doesn’t matter to me.”
