The Baltimore Ravens might have a little bit of uncertainty about their tight end position for the 2015 season as only one current player at that position is under contract. Crockett Gillmore, TE, Ravens, the third-round NFL Draft pick last year is that one player.
Gillmore finished the 2014 season with 10 catches for 121 yards and one touchdown. He is more known to be a pass blocking tight end first, but as the season progressed he started to see more and more passes thrown his way.
With offensive coordinator, Gary Kubiak leaving to take the head-coaching job with the Denver Broncos, new offensive coordinator, Marc Trestman will rely heavily on Gillmore in his new offense.
Trestman was the head coach of the Chicago Bears last year and utilized his tight ends at a high rate. Martellus Bennett, TE, Bears, finished the season with 90 catches and 6 touchdowns and a trip to the Pro Bowl.
Gilmore should expect to see an expanded role as the Ravens looks to keep some consistency rolling from the previous season.
